SUMMARY: As the First Look of Logan University creating an impression of warmth, professionalism and efficiency is of the utmost importance. Prior customer service experience is a must. Candidates should have great attention to detail, be outgoing and friendly, and enjoy connecting with students, visitors, and staff. It will be important to develop a thorough knowledge of Logan University in order to better assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide an overall welcoming environment to visitors and callers, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Maintain appearances of the lobby and request custodial/maintenance service as needed.
  • Maintain a calendar with all Logan activities and stay well informed and able to answer questions.
  • Maintain Logans University directory for front desk relief staff.
  • Assist with activities in the lobby.
  • Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including copy machine and computer.
  • Assist Accounting and other departments on special projects as needed. Serve as backup for Shipping and Receiving. Sorting and delivery of mail as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to organize, prioritize and plan work activities and manage competing demands to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must react well under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality. Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional and diplomatic manner with all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Two years of experience in an office environment or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills with prompt response to customer needs, requests for service and assistance in a professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and integrity of work.
  • Ability to interpret and fulfill instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to develop processes to ensure integrity of work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Typing and 10-key by touch skills required.
  • Experience with office equipment required.
