Position Summary

Participate Learning is looking for Interns-In-Training who are keen to learn about the international education arena and J-1 cultural exchange programs while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment. Interns-in-Training will shadow existing college interns to gain valuable knowledge of international education programs, J-1 cultural exchanges, and the day-to-day business. This is a short-term paid program that will begin in July 2024 for 3-6 weeks.

Essential Functions

General administrative support: 

  • Prepare teacher orientation materials 

  • Assisting with tasks at hotel and orientation meeting space

  • Preparing and sending mailings

  • Data entry

  • Contact with participants of the program via telephone and email

  • Supporting online learning initiatives

 

Key Competencies

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work effectively in a team

  • Must be highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow directions

  • Reliable transportation

  • Willingness to learn

  • Flexibility with a variety of tasks

Educational and Experience Requirements

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years old at the time of employment

  • Computer skills:  Google Suite experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Availability to work weekends and late nights as needed

 

Position Expectations: 

  • Represent the company in a friendly and professional manner

  • Timely communication with manager on flight updates and arrival status
