  • We educate and engage parents and caregivers to protect children from sexual abuse through community and online resources. 
  • We drive awareness to motivate individuals to take action against child sexual abuse. 

Responsibilities

The Education & Research Director leads a skilled team in developing and maintaining quality educational content, engaging and impactful educational delivery, learning and behavioral outcomes measurement, and oversight of related research and grant management initiatives.

 

Essential responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • Provide mature leadership and management for the Education & Research team.
  • Oversee efforts to engage and develop Education & Research staff; recruit, retain, and terminate staff as needed to accomplish Saprea’s mission.
  • Understand and apply evidence-based learning theories and andrological principles to various audiences (e.g., trauma survivors, community members, youth-serving organizations, and organizational leaders).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, create, test, implement, and assess online courses and programs.
  • Use technology (e.g., Qualtrics, Adobe, Tovuti) to improve and automate online education and assessment processes.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making, including developing timely content.
  • Continuously improve and innovate Saprea’s online learning efforts by integrating learning science and instructional design, resulting in clear, engaging, outcomes-oriented educational experiences.
  • Promote the use of technology-based resources in teaching and learning.
  • Lead learning outcome and behavioral transformation assessment to demonstrate the efficacy of Saprea’s programming.
  • Assist in the development of graphics and multimedia.
  • Teach in Saprea’s educational programs, as needed.
  • Oversee departmental budget development and alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA, healthcare, and risk mitigation policies.
  • Under the oversight of the Chief Clinical Officer, ensure a consistent approach to work prioritization, staff management, and executive/board collaboration.
  • Lead the updating and maintaining of existing online resources, curricula, and program support materials.
  • Contribute to Saprea’s online presence via blog authorship and quality content development.
  • Develop training materials and train teachers, educators, and others in effective online learning and teaching strategies (including train-the-trainer) and the appropriate tools.
  • Serve as learning management system administrator and provide technical expertise and software support between integrated SaaSs.
  • Ensure data tracking and compliance reporting for grant-related requirements.

 

Position Requirements 

  • Master's Degree in instructional design, learning science, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience designing and assessing online courses in a higher educational or other training environment.
  • 3+ years in an education or public speaking role.
  • 3+ years managing or leading a team.
  • Demonstrated evidence of adult learning theory and instructional methodology proficiency.
  • Demonstrated evidence of data-driven decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated technical competency with learning management and content creation software.
