The General Manager of Online education is responsible for the strategic and decisive leadership of this division. This position is responsible for building the infrastructure for online and collaboratively develop and implement a business model which provides successful strategies to build the operations as it relates to online education. This position is not remote and located in Mesa, AZ.
The General Manager, Online programs additionally plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of online education and financial sustainability of the Online team.
Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively manage online education, student services, admissions, student finance in a call center format
- Experience in entrepreneurial approaches to establish new initiatives
- A solid solutions provider who can navigate through problems and come up with solutions to help our students and grow our population
- Demonstrated accomplishments in area of online program learning
- Experience in education management/administration, advanced education, post-masters continuing education, distance/extended learning or related field leading and managing educational programs
- Recruit, hire, onboard and develop top talent to ensure quality offerings and superior student outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of instructional design practices with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to education and IT
- Experience with project management and the use of metrics to identify resource needs and provide accountability
- Responsible for the development, management and execution of the online program budget
- Knowledge of learning management system (Moodle), and student information softwares
- Motivate the functional needs of online instructors and students
- Knowledge of the principles of supervision, administration, systems management and community organization as applicable to specialized program area
- Comply with all federal regulations and institutional policies and procedures for actively participating and engaging federal Title IV funding, including compliance with the 90/10 rule
- Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs in CA (BPPE), governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, ACCSC and other accreditation standards
