The Bridge’s mission is to change lives, by offering help, hope, and opportunity to the most vulnerable in our community. We offer a comprehensive range of evidence-based rehabilitative services, including mental health and substance abuse treatment, housing, vocational training and job placement, healthcare, education, and creative arts therapies.

 

Essential Position Functions:

  • Responsible for the safe operation of 66 unit low-income housing program, consisting of 50 adults with diagnosed serious mental illness, and 16 families from the community.  Available on call 24/7.
  • Responsible for supervision of staff, and developing an environment that recognizes the effects of trauma on behavior.
  • Ability to motivate staff to use CPI and verbal de-escalation skills to manage crises.
  • Ensure that services are client-determined and driven.  Oversee the development and execution of on-site programming.
  • Ensure the program is prepared for successful OMH and LITC audits and reviews.
  • Responsible for all required reporting.
  • Attend meetings as requested and willing to work nights and or weekends as needed.
  • Other duties as required
     

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Master’s preferred, or Bachelor’s and 3+ years supervising staff in supportive housing.
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written; knowledge of AWARDS; commitment to trauma-informed services and experience with adults with SPMI and co-occurring disorders.
  • A clear understanding of OMH Supported Housing Guidelines and experience with successful LITC management.
  • Excellent time management skills; stress resistant, flexible; interpersonal and communication skills; team player; open to feedback; creative; organizational skills; willingness to perform CPR/First Aid/AED/CPI/Naloxone.
  • Preferred experience with mental health and substance abuse, and significant experience with crisis intervention and managing trauma-triggered behaviors.
  • Strong Motivational Interviewing skills and commitment to wellness-based programming.
