General Responsibilities:

The Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-season coaches meeting with athletic director
  • Sign in and sign out on a daily basis using the ADP program
  • Email parents of the team to update them on a weekly basis
  • Take attendance on a daily basis
  • Assist in distribution of uniforms
  • Assist in collection of uniforms at the completion of the season
  • Plan and organize practice and practice schedules
  • Set up for practices and games
  • Clean up after practices and games
  • Wait for all student-athletes to be picked up after practices and games
  • Work in conjunction with the Athletic Director to facilitate growth of the program
  • Attend end of the season sports awards ceremony

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or equivalency, preferred Bachelors degree.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of physical conditioning methods.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate from the American Red Cross, including CPR/AED training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership and facilitative skills.
  • Adherence to school philosophy, mission statement, policies, and procedure.
  • Follow Florida High School Athletic Association rules and regulations.
  • Complete on-line concussion test

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
  • May work at a desk and computer for limited periods of time.
  • May work long hours for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Works in varied and extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat.
