Holland Hall is seeking a full-time Marketing and Graphic Design Manager. This role is an integral part of the Communications and Marketing department. The Communications and Marketing department is responsible for developing all communication and marketing materials for Holland Hall within the parameters of the School's defined, strategic goals — admission, retention, and fundraising. The primary goal of this Marketing Manager is to produce all print and digital advertising, produce key internal and external pieces including media guides, strategic planning documents, fundraising appeals, admissions materials, a yearly magazine and more.


This role requires a strong graphic design background, as well as photography and writing skills. This full-time position involves working with many offices on campus. Candidates should expect a rigorous and fast-paced environment that requires collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and adaptability, working with a range of departments.


This position is critical to helping the DutchZone and athletics department — designing new spirit wear and uniforms — as needed.


Job Duties:

  • Graphic design — conceptualize, pitch, edit and produce ads, marketing materials, internal and external publications.

  • Photography — work with photographers on a cohesive plan for all marketing materials. Take photos if needed. 

  • Write — Document school news with a journalistic approach, proofread, edit.

  • Social Media — help conceptualize and produce social media posts for both athletics and the MAR/COM department.

  • Work with Advancement, Admissions, Branch Heads on a variety of projects with the Director of Communication and Marketing

  • Be able to update the website

  • Design merchandise for the DutchZone

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Creative marketing approach along with proficient use of digital video and photography equipment, editing software, and organizational/archival techniques

  • Social media management experience and high comfort level with lnstagram, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, TikTok and YouTube

  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofing skills

  • Knowledge in key areas of marketing (social media, content marketing, email marketing, SEO, PPC, SEM, etc.)

  • Ability to plan, create, and implement a marketing strategy

  • Understanding of the key measurement tools available

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and creativity

  • Ability to think strategically and understand the defined vision and mission of the school and effectively take creative direction/feedback from Director of Communications and Marketing

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility regarding responsibilities

  • Perform outstanding customer service at all times

  • A good sense of humor and enthusiasm for a high-energy work environment

  • Experience with MacOS, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, website content management systems (CMS)


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum of 1-3 years equivalent experience

  • Please note, this is not a classroom or teaching position

  • The work day begins at 8:00 and ends at 4:30 with 30 minutes for lunch.

  • Work primarily indoors in standard office conditions and climate.

  • Work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.

  • Activities include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, talking, hearing and visually acuity.  

  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
