About This Role

The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the daily HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and benefits administration. This role is essential in ensuring that the company maintains a positive and productive work environment for its employees, who range from wedding planners, event staff and culinary personnel. 

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Managing the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Act as the point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general workplace concerns.
  • Address employee relations issues and assist in resolving conflicts.
  •  Support disciplinary actions and termination processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Participate in HR projects such as engagement surveys, culture-building activities, and employee retention programs.
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration, working closely with department Director and third-party providers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in HR generalist roles, preferably within the hospitality or event planning industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and labor law.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
