Position Summary:

In this role, you will prepare various financial reports, build financial models, perform independent analyses and assist on other accounting and finance related functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on, strategic thinker with solid communication skills, strong technical skills and advanced problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as a business partner to individual departments throughout the year and provide support with:
    • Interpreting financial results, communicating key take-aways
    • Help define and track key metrics of the business segment/function
    • Support Finance Manager and CFO with annual budgeting and ongoing forecast updates
    • Analyze financial results - monitor variances, identify trends, recommend actions.
  • This role is expected to provide strategic data interpretation (vs just reporting)
  • Manage data from multiple systems in order to create scorecards, reports, and financial models
  • Ensure finance-generated reports are accurate by verifying data integrity and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Present information in meaningful and actionable format to management (executive level summaries)
  • Assist with special projects on an as needed basis
  • Create customized reports and Saved Searches from NetSuite

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Previous experience with NetSuite Financials, including development of Saved Searches and creating Custom Reports 
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills, including in-depth expert knowledge of MS Excel and database programs  
  • Minimum three years of experience in a financial analysis role required
  • Exceptional quantitative/analytical skills
  • Inquisitive - willing to dig into detail and ask questions to get at the core of issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional groups
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience presenting to financial information to highest levels of management with confidence and precision

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
