JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Partner with project managers, business analysts, and other engineers to define technical requirements and project plans.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software remains cutting-edge.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, C# or Java.
  • Extensive experience and understanding with web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong understanding with database systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience creating well-designed, tested code using best practices for application development.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, quality analysts, and subject matter experts.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
    • Minimum of 1 year experience with a software development project leveraging Scrum or similar agile practice.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Git.
  • Experience with mobile application development (iOS/Android).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Remote; Candidates can be hired to work remotely out of the following States: Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are within driving distance of Charlotte, NC

 

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Weekend or after-hours work may be required
