What You Will Do:

The Host/Housekeeper reports to the Food Service Hospitality Manager and is a member of the facilities and kitchen team. The Host/Housekeeper ensures guest comfort through the performance of housekeeping and kitchen duties. This position is seasonal from approximately March through approximately mid November. 

This position takes place at our campus in Olympic National Park and cannot be performed remotely.

Your primary job will be to:

  • Perform daily cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning and other general cleaning using established checklists.
  • Participate in meal service; serving food, washing dishes and tending to the service area. 
  • Perform cyclic cleaning such as window cleaning, waxing floors etc. using established checklists.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all staff, guests and Olympic National Park visitors and staff.
  • Performs physical tasks such as moving equipment, supplies and furniture. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Compensation:

  • $18/hour

Qualifications

Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and consistently to high standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cheerfully as part of a team under sometimes stressful conditions. 
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Professional experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Able to acquire a county food handler’s card upon hire.
