Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance workload. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Mow, edge, trim, and blow, around buildings, roadsides, sidewalks, etc.
  • Landscape projects such as shrubbery trimming or removal, thinning-out and/or removal of plants, weeds and leaves.
  • Debris pick-up and removal
  • Sod installation or planting duties as needed
  • Perform other various landscaping tasks as directed by supervisor(s).
  • Walk areas and remove anything that presents a safety or damage hazard for equipment.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment, trailers and vehicles. .
  • Evaluate equipment problems and report them to mechanics and supervisor(s)
  • Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and use the proper personal protection equipment
  • Attend all safety meetings
  • Aid with other positions and/or departments as needed.
  • Perform other tasks when requested by superintendents or managers.
  • Help in emergency situations as needed.
  • Perform flagging duties as needed for safety
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with commercial/residential grounds keeping preferred
  • Experience with various landscaping equipment preferred
  • Valid Florida driver’s license, with acceptable driving history preferred.
  • Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
