The Surgical Recovery Manager has direct accountability for the management of day-to-day surgical operations and oversees all activities related to the surgical recovery and safe preservation of organs from donors. This includes, but is not limited to, surgical assistant, operating room logistics and communication, maintaining surgical and preservation supplies, organ preservation, and upholding the mission, goals, and strategic plan of LifeCenter Northwest.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Management Responsibilities

Works in concert with Organ Utilization Director, Surgical Organ Recovery Specialist(s) (SORS), Organ Recovery Manager(s), Organ Utilization Program Manager, Organ Preservation Program Manager, and Quality Department to reduce risk and ensure quality processes are in place.
Clinical Responsibilities
-
Is able to appropriately manipulate kidneys, dissect patches, split kidneys, clean adipose from kidneys and collect biopsy. In addition to the ability to prepare imported kidneys, close biopsy sites and prepare a complicated patch for pumping.

Is able to function as an expert and resource to Surgical First Assists, Organ Utilization Coordinators, and Organ Recovery Coordinators in organ recovery, perfusion, and logistics.

ANTICIPATED WEEKLY TIME COMMITMENT
This position requires on-call availability and may require evening and weekend work.
