Description

Montessori Children's House (MCH) in Warminster, Pennsylvania is searching for Montessori Teachers and  Assistants to join our team of dedicated Montessori educators. At Montessori Children's House -Warminster, our mission is to embody the educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori in a close-knit, caring community of children, parents, teachers and staff. We strive to guide and support children to feel confident and competent in creating their own learning, and to provide support and resources for parents as they facilitate their children's growth.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Orchestrate the development of a warm, peaceful, and joyful classroom environment for toddlers to begin their education in an authentic Montessori classroom
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of and ability to communicate Montessori philosophy and methodology
  • Through Montessori methodology, provide opportunities and guidance for the children’s development of everyday living, language, fine motor, sensory, gross motor and social/emotional skills.
  • Contribute to the cohesiveness of the MCH community of faculty, staff, families and children.

Qualifications

Minimum Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. 
  • Must hold a Montessori teaching certificate, preferably from a MACTE accredited teacher education program or willing to obtain. 
  • Must have at least two (2) years of previous experience in a Montessori early childhood environment
  • Must have experience applying Montessori educational strategies that support and facilitate the unique growth of each individual student.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse group of students and parents, and to work as a team member to create a strong professional learning community.

Minimum Teacher Assistant Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • 2 years of related experience 
  • Although Montessori experience is helpful, we are happy to train self–motivated eager and receptive learners
