The Social Worker is a critical member of our ministry by serving women and men to assist them with their individual needs to overcome their current circumstance.

 

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

 

  • Utilizes triage process for mental health and substance abuse
  • Completes safety screenings for clients fleeing domestic violence situations
  • Assesses for suicidality and homicidally and recommends appropriate measures for individual and community safety
  • Provides best service recommendations based upon needs assessment results
  • Researches and builds relationships with community partners and organizations to meet client needs
  • Communicates with clients external service providers on clients status and progress
  • Provides resource referrals
  • Provides clinical guidance to team
  • Leads life skills groups

Position Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work with a LMSW or eligibility for license
  • Experience administering assessments in a social services capacity preferred
  • Experience working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness preferred
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to communicate with absolute clarity to diverse individuals
  • Well organized, diligent and reliable in following through on commitments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-past environment where multitasking is a constant
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management required
