Education and Experience:
- Position requires a college-level background in biological sciences, optimally with experience in reading scientific research literature.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are desirable.
- Computer entry and/or typing skills are required.
- Must have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of databases such as PubMed.
- Familiarity with the R&D Systems/Bio-Techne catalog.
- Knowledge of biological sciences and reading scientific research literature.
- Skills to pay attention to the details and unequivocally identify product used as well as to find and accurately enter the appropriate information.
- Skills in problem solving; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action.
- Ability to work independently, but also make good use of available help.
- Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects.
- Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written.
- Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations (7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.).
