Parks and Recreation Internship, 2019

May through August 

12 week internship program

 

$6,000 stipend for a summer semester internship

 

The Woodlands Township is seeking two (2) interns to assist the Parks and Recreation Department in the summer of 2019. The purpose of this position is to further the student’s understanding and experience in the field of the parks and recreation (programming, park planning, administration, open space management, etc). The intern will assist staff with the implementation of recreation programs (summer camps, recreation center operation, special events, races).

 

Qualifications

 

  • Students in either a Bachelors or Masters program in Parks and Recreation Management or closely related field (sports management, public administration). FA/CPR required.
  • One year of experience in the field of parks and recreation or sports management.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
  • Deadline for the 2019 Summer Internship is Monday, February 25.
