Description

The Oklahoma Conference is excited to announce a search for a Receivables and Payables Coordinator that will report directly to the Director of Accounting. This role will be responsible for recording and processing daily, weekly, and monthly financial activities of the Accounting department. The Receivables and Payables Coordinator will assist the Oklahoma Conference with various accounts receivable and accounts payable functions including processing checks, ACH, and EFT payments. Assisting with recording and posting Conference apportionment receipts and filing all apportionment documents.

Primary Roles:

  • Record and post Conference Apportionment Receipts from local churches via check or online payment. Auditing and reviewing information for accuracy.
  • Respond to statewide church inquiries regarding apportionment payments. Researching requests and
  • Processes check, ACH, and EFT payments through Accounts Payable. Ensuring that all payments are processed timely and within the policy of the Oklahoma Conference.
  • File Apportionments, payment documents and confirmations in accordance with Accounting Dept standards. Ensuring that all documents are filed accurately and timely in a secure location.
  • Provide back-up to the Treasurer’s Administrative Assistant when needed for activities such as mailing or disbursing payable checks.

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years’ previous experience in an Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable position is desired.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Accounting Software (Shelby, QuickBooks, etc).
  • Knowledge of financial principles and internal accounting controls is desired.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping with strong math skills is required.
