Role:

It Takes A Village Family of Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-School Teacher to join our early childhood centers; creating a safe and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our children and contribute to developing curricula and activities that support developmental milestones. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.

  • Maintain a well-organized and inviting classroom environment conducive to learning, including arranging furniture, creating learning centers, and displaying children's work.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor each child's progress and development, and communicate results to parents and administrators.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by implementing proper health and safety protocols, conducting regular safety checks, and responding promptly to emergencies.

  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development and participation in workshops and conferences.

Position Type: Full-Time

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • State certification or licensure for early childhood education.

  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.

  • Knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
