Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Café Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the Pink Java Café. This includes but is not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and managing the Café staff. This working Supervisor position will lead the team members to ensure the highest level of customer service. The Café Supervisor will also oversee the ordering and receiving of related inventory and verifying the orders. Assumes responsibility for quality of products prepared and served. Ensures all health department (CCHD) rules, regulations, and protocols are adhered to.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop and retain excellent store employees
  • Employ positive and motivating training and coaching techniques to foster teamwork and a positive work environment
  • Ensure a high product quality standard
  • Maintain inventory levels and general supplies needed for the daily operation
  • Place food and beverage and supply orders as needed
  • Provides monthly sales report to Sedona Sales and Retail Mgr for review
  • Creates weekly work schedules
  • Ensures clean and attractive displays of product presentation
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Stay in touch with new trends related to products and make recommendations to Manager
  • Work with Manager to anticipate seasonal needs and adjust stocking levels accordingly
  • Maintain thorough cleanliness and appearance of the Café and outside patio area
  • Keep storage areas maintained and organized
  • Understand and maintain the POS system, communicate with software support vendor and internal IT as necessary
  • Support the overall Pink Jeep/tour experience by understanding company operations and being able to answer a variety of questions from external and internal customers
  • Organize, conduct, and complete a monthly inventory through the POS system
  • Perform special projects as assigned
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus
  • Minimum of two years supervisory/management experience
  • Two years food and beverage sales experience preferred
  • Obtain Coconino Food Managers Course Certificate within 90-days of hire
  • Strong Sales experience, excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Computer experience required (MS Windows, Word, POS, Outlook)
  • Ability to work varied hours and days to oversee store operations, up to 12 hours per day

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to process information and product through computer and register systems.
  • Ability to communicate with associates and customers
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation and transactions
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the Café and storage areas
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the coffee shop(refrigerators, freezers, blenders, espresso/coffee machines, registers)
  • Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, squat, and bend throughout the day
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise and equipment throughout the Cafe generally weighing up to 40 pounds, and heavier items with assistance
