Description and Requirement

Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill part time, contractual role in our Accounting Internship Program. This is a part time position with a maximum of 30 hours per week for 8 weeks during the summer.  The internship will begin on June 10th and end on August 2nd.


The Accountant intern will be provided with relevant skills in a variety of accounting functions via on-the-job training.


Job duties include:

  • Reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
  • Exposure to the review and analysis of monthly financial statements
  • complete special projects as needed and other duties as assigned



Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualified applicants will possess strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Proficiency in MS Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) is necessary as well as ability to maintain a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality.  Candidates majoring in Accounting or Business Management are highly encouraged to apply.




This position does not supervise other employees. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with the core work hours being 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flextime may be available with prior supervisory approval. This position may be partially virtual.
