Description

The Contract Analyst I provides input and assistance on projects and reports related to healthcare purchased services. He/she works with ECRI member hospitals and healthcare organizations to assess outsourcing service needs, review existing contracts, assist with appropriate vendor selection and develop and analyze request for proposals.  This position is located in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Essential Functions Statements(s)

  • Analyze purchased services price quotations and contracts from a financial perspective and provides hospitals with information and resources to facilitate price negotiations with vendors.
  • Analyzing proposal clauses and understanding stipulations in order to assess overall value and financial impact.
  • Ability to research and map pricing variables across a wide range of industries, synthesizing information on basic units of labor, service, materials and overhead.
  • Recognize and create complex comparisons incorporating data expressed diversely in differing; formats, structures and units of measure.
  • Research and prepare market intelligence and custom comparative analysis reports on specific types of purchased services requests from ECRI member facilities.
  • Synthesize information from internal ECRI databases and a variety of external sources, including vendors, technical and business publications, and technology information services.
  • Works with ECRI member hospitals to assess needs and provide consultative support identifying marketplace vendors and contracting best practices for hospital purchased services initiatives.
  • Creates documents and reports using ECRI’s PricePaid Database and MS Office software applications.
  • Development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for use by ECRI member facilitates for a variety of purchased services categories.
  • Development of cross vendor analysis techniques

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of recent experience in customer-focused data-driven environment or other equivalent education/training.
  • Knowledge of or experience with purchased service contracts and the contracting processes. Experience reviewing and analyzing purchased service agreements preferred, but not required
  • Experience in a healthcare facility related to purchased services procurement preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; in business, supply chain, finance, life sciences, health policy, mathematics or information systems.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office 2016+
