Job Summary
The Safety/Security team is essential to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests and staff at the haunted attraction. Team members are responsible for conducting security screenings, managing guest flow through security lines, and responding to situations with professionalism and composure—even in high-pressure or impatient crowd scenarios. Major incidents or concerns must be promptly reported to the Security Manager or GM.

Key Responsibilities
- Security Screening & Guest Interaction:
- Conduct bag checks and operate metal detectors for all guests entering the attraction.
- Respond to individuals who trigger metal detectors, following proper search and screening protocols.
- Interact with guests in a calm, courteous, and professional manner, even in high-pressure or impatient situations.
- Event Layout & Emergency Awareness:
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the event layout, including all exits, emergency routes, and key operational areas.
- Assist guests and staff in locating exits and responding to emergencies.
- Participate in regular safety inspections and drills to ensure readiness for various emergency scenarios (fire, medical, weather, power failure, etc.).
- Proper Security & Removal Techniques:
- Apply approved non-hostile de-escalation and removal techniques when addressing disruptive or non-compliant individuals.
- Escort individuals from the premises safely and in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines, minimizing disruption to other guests.
- Incident Reporting & Communication:
- Remain vigilant for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations.
- Immediately report major incidents, emergencies, or security threats to the Security Manager or GM, providing clear and accurate information.
- Use radios or other communication tools to coordinate with other security and operations staff as needed.
- Crowd & Line Management:
- Maintain orderly guest flow through the security checkpoint and into the attraction.
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to guests, helping to reduce wait times and frustration.
- Safety Protocols & Compliance:
- Ensure all safety and security protocols are strictly followed, including fire code compliance, clear exit pathways, and unobstructed emergency routes.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and emergency preparedness exercises.
