Job Summary

This pivotal role requires a charismatic and versatile actor who can bring our signature character to life, serving as the face of our event. The Icon Actor will engage in meet-and-greet sessions, deliver captivating stage performances, and maintain character integrity throughout the entire season. This position demands a performer who can fully immerse themselves in the role, creating unforgettable experiences for guests and setting the tone for the entire haunt.

Key Responsibilities

• Character Embodiment:
  • Fully inhabit the persona of the Icon character, including mannerisms, voice, and personality
  • Maintain character consistency across all interactions and performances
• Meet and Greet Sessions:
  • Engage with guests in character for photo opportunities and interactive experiences
  • Provide memorable, character-appropriate interactions that enhance guest experience
  • Balance approachability with the mystique of the Icon character
• Stage Performances:
  • Deliver powerful, scripted performances as the centerpiece of main stage shows
  • Collaborate with supporting cast and technical crew to ensure flawless execution
  • Improvise within character when necessary to maintain show flow and audience engagement
• Media and Promotional Appearances:
  • Represent the haunt in character for media interviews, promotional videos, and marketing materials
  • Participate in pre-event publicity stunts and appearances as required
  • Maintain character integrity during all public-facing activities
• Leadership and Inspiration:
  • Serve as a role model for other actors in the haunt, setting the standard for performance quality
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to supporting cast members when appropriate
  • Contribute ideas for character development and show enhancement

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply and work in this role.
• Availability: Fully commit to the entire Haunt Season, typically lasting 4-8 weeks
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and special effects (fog, strobe lights, etc.)
• Collaborate effectively with other actors, technicians, and management
• Ability to read guest reactions and adjust performance accordingly
