Benefit Recovery is currently searching for a Revenue Cycle Specialist. Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus but not required. Critical and analytical thinking is key. We are looking for individuals who are able to work independently and in a team environment, and who take initiative and are willing to learn all aspects of the medical billing revenue cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Insurance verification
- Reviewing explanation of benefits and correspondence
- High volume phone calls for claims follow up
- Composing appeals and reviewing medical records
Requirements:
- Current security clearance with Department of Defense preferred
- Working knowledge of computers such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner during interaction with colleagues, military clients, patients, as well as the private health insurance representatives
- Knowledge of HIPAA, and UB04, CMS1500, ICD-9, ICD-10 forms required.
Candidates must be able to successfully pass an initial criminal and credit clearance and must have a current Security Clearance.
