Summary:
Earlham College is seeking a motivated and community-focused individual to fill the role of Assistant/Associate Director of Community Relations. This position will report to the Director of Community Relations and play a vital role in advancing the College's commitment to community partnerships, student involvement, and collaborative initiatives. The Assistant/Associate Director of Community Relations will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to foster meaningful connections, represent the College at community events, and facilitate opportunities for student engagement in the local community.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Relations to develop and execute strategies for community engagement, sponsorship, and student involvement that align with Earlham College's mission and goals.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with community organizations, businesses, and key stakeholders to identify and develop sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage the College's presence at community events, ensuring effective representation and engagement with the local community.
- Design, implement, and oversee programs that integrate students into the community. Support the work of the Center for Career and Community Engagement in securing and promoting student service projects, internships, and other initiatives that contribute to positive community impact.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify opportunities for student involvement in the community that align with academic and co-curricular goals.
- Assist in developing grant-related initiatives focused on student-community engagement, coordinating logistics, student participation, and reporting as required.
- Serve as a central point of contact for various departments and individuals across campus engaged in similar community-focused efforts, fostering a collaborative and cohesive approach.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to promote information sharing, collaboration, and coordination among internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies that highlight the College's community engagement efforts and student involvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement and student involvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to refine strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
- Additional duties as needed to support Earlham College.
