We are currently seeking a Part-Time Electrical Instructor for our Pueblo, CO Campus. Are you someone who loves to share the passion of the industry with others? Job Summary:

The Instructor is responsible for delivering established curriculum to students in a professional and proficient manner. This position also assigns and grades assignments, inputs attendance records, and ensures an effective learning environment through classroom management.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Present and work with the students on prepared lab assignments.
  • Distribute and maintain shop tools in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Keep shop in a clean and safe fashion.
  • Emphasize and maintain safety regulations for those doing labs and using tools.
  • Assemble material list for needed supplies and review with electrical supervisor.
  • Installation of NMC, devices, services in fabbed structure and perform 1/2" and 3/4" conduit bending. Maintain and rebuild lab kits and wood framing as needed between uses. Manage classroom/lab participation and report daily attendance and activity levels to the electrical supervisor. Coordinate with other team members for lab presentations and other in-person and virtual lectures.

Secondary Duties:

  • Assist with industry community partner presentations.
  • Training available for advancement into a full-time teaching position

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

This position requires medium work, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds while frequently lifting up to 20 pounds.  Instruction requires standing for long periods of time (up to 5 hours at a time), expressing complex topics through speech, sufficient vision to write notes for instruction, and hearing to interact with students. The worker is exposed to chemicals, chemical smells, and loud noises in the workplace. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

20 Hours Weekly Monday – Thursday.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education: Completion of a Certificate Program, RW or JW license, Associates Degree in Electrical or related field,

Experience: 3+ years (minimum 4, 000 hours) of experience in Electrical or related field.

License/Certification(s): State RW/JW license, Apprentice Program completion certificate, Other Reciprocal States
