What You will Need to Do This Job:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and two to four years of payroll experience is preferred.
Preference will be given to FPC and CPP designations and/or an accounting degree.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidentiality is an absolute requirement.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a task-oriented environment with strict deadlines.
Technically competent with payroll software programs, other accounting programs, and the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word).
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Must be adept at conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Flexible during times of change.
The ability to work beyond an 8-hour day and/or 40-hour workweek may be required at times.
Ability to plan vacations and other planned leave times around the timing of payroll processing duties.
This position generally works in an office environment but is occasionally exposed to outdoor conditions or other locations. Extended periods of sitting, standing and computer work are required. The ability to speak, hear, and type is also required. You will regularly lift twenty pounds or less.
This position will also require you to perform other duties as assigned by management.
