Cascade AIDS Project is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Aging Well Program Assistant. The Aging Well Program Assistant will work with the Manager of Aging Well Programming, staff, volunteers of Cascade AIDS Project (CAP), and with community partners to provide administrative support for programming to improve the wellbeing of aging adults living with and affected by HIV, their friends and families, and professionals in the field.

 

This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St. location in NW Portland. The schedule for this role is Hybrid 8:30am-5:00pm (some nights and weekends are required but hours will not exceed 40hrs a week)

Starting pay is $45,843.20 yearly. The Aging Well Program Assistant Pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $53,643.20. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.

 

Who You Are

  • Knowledge of the lived experience of living with HIV. Knowledge that is academic alone is not sufficient for this role.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle or able to use public transportation.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office software and working knowledge of the internet.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially with people who may need additional patience and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage detail-oriented processes, prioritize work projects, and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Do

  • Strengthen and maintain systems for data collection, including a confidential contact list.
  • Compile resources about aging adults living with and affected by HIV.
  • Provide support to a Long-Term Survivor Leadership Workgroup, including arranging transportation, catering, childcare and other assistance.
  • Provide administrative support to the Oregon Aging Well with HIV coalition, including preparing and distributing meeting notices, meeting minutes and related items.
  • Provide administrative support for educational/social events, to include the planning and coordination of the event as directed by the Program Coordinator.
  • Ability to work with a team, or independently, and make sound decisions and exhibit professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with participants.
