FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Compensation: Hourly



Safely transport materials with company equipment, in accordance of DOT and other traffic laws. A Truck Driver is responsible and accountable for the companys semi-truck, trailers and cargo, including maintenance records and all inspections. The Truck Driver must adhere to DOT regulations and guidelines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Follow Guidelines/instructions set by the Department of Transportation and policies by the company
  2. Maintain working order of truck and trailers
  3. Perform daily vehicle pre & post trip inspections
  4. Physical Lifting of 50 to 100 pounds
  5. May be required to operate a forklift or heavy equipment according to safety and training guidelines
  6. Follow and adhere to established safety rules
  7. Provide clear and consistent communication with regards to delays, arrivals, equipment problems, appropriate department/ employee
  8. Problem solve and critical thinking in regards to breakdowns, repairs, routing, etc.
  9. Report any injuries/incidents immediately to direct supervisor
  10. Responsible for loading and unloading finished product / raw material
  11. Must complete daily driving logs, applicable DOT documents, required company forms in timely manner
  12. Professionally and accurately represent company at all times & provide good customer service
  13. Hook and unhook trailers to & from a tractor and/or trailer
  14. Communicate effectively with co-workers / vendors / suppliers
  15. May be required to operate company semi in over the road (OTR) situation that may fall on evenings, weekends, and hours outside of regular scheduled hours.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma, or equivalent

1-3 years of experience preferred

Possess a valid Class-A CDL license with airbrakes endorsement and DOT Medical Certificate

Clean driving record (must be approved driver under company insurance carrier)

Familiarity and compliance with DOT regulations

Pass ongoing DOT physical & required testing, in addition to drug screen and background check

Relevant mechanical knowledge



Up to 20%, as needed


Computer Skills

Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time, bend, twist, squat, stand, walk, kneel, climb in and out of truck, may require repetitive lifting, pulling and pushing 50-100 lbs, ability to reach above head
