**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE CONCRETE INDUSTRY TO BE CONSIDERED**

 

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for oversight of quality control staff, management of mix designs, schedules, and coordinating trial batches.  They will be monitoring and managing the submittal process. They are responsible for testing of inbound materials to ensure quality specifications are met by our suppliers and managing oversight of ALL quality related issues at the plants and in the field

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages staff and dispatches field technicians in markets we serve
  • Coordinates laboratory activities including trial batches and material testing
  • Evaluates test data.  Compiles, enters, and maintains this data in software used for performance monitoring and mix submittals
  • Evaluates mix design performance.  Works to optimize mix designs with optimal materials and operational plant constraints and capabilities
  • Has a working knowledge of ASTM specifications relating to concrete and material testing
  • Has a working knowledge of concrete admixtures, supplementary cementitious materials, and various aggregates and their impact on the performance of concrete mix designs
  • Must be able to diagnose and analyze concrete performance issues or any concerns customers may have in the performance of mixes
  • Participates in project meetings with customers and their engineering staff regarding concrete deliveries, concrete performance, and the mix submittal process
  • Provides training to technical service staff along with plant personnel and operations in any field related to the performance of concrete, cements, supplementary cementitious materials, admixtures and/or any other concrete products
  • Represents the company at industry functions and on relevant committees

REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to pass company pre-employment screening process
  • Completion of the Concrete Industry Management program or equivalent
  • Must be ACI certified
  • A minimum of 10 years concrete industry experience
  • A Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires knowledge and awareness of construction and industrial production facilities. Protective safety equipment is required to be worn and will be supplied at the expense of the Company. Pants, sleeved shirts, and work boots that cover the ankle are required to be worn while on site at any of our facilities or on a jobsite.

 

This position requires the ability to safely lift 50 pounds, and on occasion up to 100 pounds (safe team lift). This position may also require that the individual work at multiple sites, and at varying hours and weather conditions.
