JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director and serving on the Leadership Team, the Health & Wellness Director is responsible for providing oversight of all clinical operations in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Health and Wellness Director is the manager of ECC services and is responsible for providing clinical oversight and monthly assessments in accordance with state regulations. The Health and Wellness Director will provide clinical expertise to assure the highest level of quality care for residents to achieve clinical excellence, as well as a holistic and resident-directed care focus. The Health & Wellness Director will oversee budget and census management that assists with the communitys overall goals. Responsibilities will also include the management of all programs in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and agency regulations. The Health and Wellness Director respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues, and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.

  • Develop, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of Nursing Services in accordance with accepted nursing practices and procedures, to attain, maintain, and promote quality resident care and remain in compliance with all Federal and State Regulations, Facility Policies, and Standards of Procedures
  • Provide quality professional care to the residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate and monitor work assignments of Health and Wellness Services personnel
  • Determine appropriate Health and Wellness staffing needs
  • Develop a master staffing plan to ensure that all residents receive appropriate clinical care for a 24 hour time period adhering to all regulatory agency requirements
  • Supervise personnel in their job functions including leave and attendance, preparation and presentation of performance reviews, and standards in accordance with position, class code, and title
  • Assure the Health and Wellness Department adheres to all current regulatory requirements governing all applied licenses
  • Responsible for payroll oversight and related approvals
  • Monitor budget compliance and financial outcomes including, but not limited to, labor expense, operational expenses, and accounts receivable resolution
  • Maintain complete confidentiality
  • Listen to resident and family concerns and facilitates solutions
  • Support the admission process by answering follow up questions and phone calls
  • Communicate with physician, family, and health care providers regarding the changing condition of any resident
  • Keep current on all changes in the industry, particularly regulator changes
  • Participate in ongoing in-service education
  • Serve as a member of various management committees as assigned
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nurse with current Florida license
  • Five years of executive management experience in senior living or health care required; CCRC background a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality with strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite
