Description

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks for the Ohio City Campus (Brewpub, gift shop, offices, event spaces, brewery) as assigned by supervisor.
  • Works closely with supervisor for task assignments, maintenance work, and opportunities to improve spaces around campus.
  • Utilizes proper sanitization procedures to ensure a healthy, sanitary work environment.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintains regular communication with restaurant, retail, events, and office management teams as needed to quickly resolve issues.
  • Under direction of supervisor - assists in completing scheduled preventative maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Responsible for completing basic painting, drywall, plumbing and upkeep projects as assigned.
  • Act as point-of-contact for specific vendors and contractors as assigned by supervisor.
  • Will fill in, when supervisor is away, as primary point-of-contact for vendors, contractors, and employees.
  • Picks up trash and litter around facilities and disposes of it properly.
  • Under direction of supervisor - assists brewpub and retail teams with setup/teardown of large events (Opening Day, First Pour, etc.)
  • Completes seasonal cleaning and upkeep tasks (i.e. snow removal, gutter cleaning, leaf pickup, etc.)
  • Assists in the execution of annual brewpub maintenance shutdown.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of high frequency items (lights, paint, fasteners, etc.)
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years maintenance experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to reach, bend, stand, stoop, use stairs throughout shift, for up to a period of eight (8) hours in length.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to thoroughly clean all customer-facing areas of the restaurant regularly and efficiently.
  • Reading, writing and effective verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to follow oral & written instructions.
  • Has basic mechanical aptitude a knowledge of equipment and operations.
  • Ability to complete tasks without supervision.
  • Ability to operate light equipment (hand, power, and landscaping tools)
