Title: Residential Clinical Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time - 40 hours/week, Exempt
Location: 2625 N Weil St. - Milwaukee, WI 
Reports to: Manager of Residential Clinical Services
Department: Residential
Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.(subject to change based on program needs); on-call rotation

General Purpose 

Provides timely clinical supervision, education, consultation, and guidance to the residential therapist team to ensure high quality continuity of client care in the 24-hour residential program.  Supports collaboration across all disciplines and programs. Assures continuous safety and alignment with Meta House programming, policy, and clinical best practices. 


Essential Functions of the Job: 

  • Provide both scheduled and as-needed clinical and crisis management consultation and guidance to the residential therapist team. 
  • Supervise Therapist Team, including hiring, onboarding, reviewing/evaluating, and providing professional development to assigned therapists. 
  • Facilitate and document weekly group supervisions with therapist team. 
  • Consult with Residential Admissions and Intake team on referrals, upcoming discharges, admissions, and intakes. 
  • Provide education and consultation to residential support team (e.g. RSS and Peers) via team meetings, curbside consultations, office hours, and shift exchanges. 
  • Provide 24/7 on-call and on-call back-up services, rotating with on-call therapists and Manager of Residential Clinical Services. 
  • Manage and support all clinical documentation and program requirements, including prior authorizations, ASAMs, Medicaid rules, documentation/EHR, and RIPLE program.  
  • Oversee therapist schedules and clinical activity, including billable hours/productivity 
  • Participate in RIPLE review and communicate results to the team  
  • Attend external meetings or events and/or engage in/lead clinical project work 
  • Facilitate residential groups as needed plus cover groups and caseloads for therapist absences/vacancies.

Marginal Functions of the Job: 

  • Other duties as periodically or permanently assigned 
  • Participate in agency-wide policy/procedure or service committees as assigned  
  • Participate in community resource meetings as assigned
     

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited university.  
  • CSAC  
  • LPC or LCSW
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in a mental health and/or substance use treatment setting, providing individual and group therapy to adults.  
  • Driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance  
  • Inpatient or residential treatment experience preferred.  
  • Team leadership or consultative experience preferred.

Other Skills Required: 

  • Rapid assessment, triage, and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to communicate quickly and clearly in high stress situations 
  • Skilled in Motivational Interviewing and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches. 
  • Family-systems approach to recovery. 
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and ability to address vicarious trauma 
  • Knowledge of Mandated Reporting laws and the ability to assess and act as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to walk indoors and outdoors between buildings 
  • Able to navigate stairs frequently 
  • Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time 
  • Bend, stoop, twist, squat, and kneel 
  • Travel between facilities (driver’s license required)
  • Able to hear and speak with clients 
  • Able to read and document in client charts 
  • Able to lift 20 pounds on a regular basis 
  • Able to visually identify clients and others for reasons including, but not limited to: security and presence in building
  • Tolerate a variety of temperature ranges
  • Adhere to non-smoking work environment policies and vaccination requirement
