We have the awesome opportunity to work with over 1.3 million students and over 100,000 teachers. Through our work, we get to inspire teachers to love math, equip them to be more effective at teaching it, and partner with districts to transform their math curriculum. We are looking for someone that will contribute and own many of the systems dealing with user provisioning and user authentication/authorization.

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Computer science degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of professional Java EE experience

  • Expertise in using Java for building web services and extract-transform-load projects

  • Expertise in web and mobile app based authentication

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Even better if you have:

  • Experience deploying and maintaining web applications in cloud environments

  • Experience with AWS services like RDS/Aurora, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch and Step functions

  • Experience with application testing and knowledge of continuous integration best practices

  • Experience with educational technology and school information systems

  • Ability to read and interpret code in PHP and JavaScript
