Position Overview:

Nearpod’s Product Marketing Manager’s goal is to support overall company growth and retention goals through strategic product marketing of the company’s comprehensive suite of products and features. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and communicating the value proposition, product positioning and messaging with channel and content marketing teams to establish Nearpod and Flocabulary as must-have instructional technology products. The successful candidate will also be charged with developing engaging marketing programs that will reach the target audience for each product.


 Be an internal expert on Nearpod, Flocabulary, and the EdTech market

  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of Nearpod’s comprehensive product (including Flocabulary & Supplemental Curriculum) and feature set 

  • Follow and analyze market trends and competitors to position products and act as internal expert on market and competitive landscape

  • Lead initiatives to ensure internal stakeholders are up-to-date on Nearpod and Flocabulary’s features and their benefits, along with other products teachers and administrators are using

  • Collaborate with Field Marketing, Growth Marketing, Sales, & Customer Success to appropriately align products and their features/benefits to regional trends and needs; including in-field or web-based presentation support for strategic accounts


Be a storyteller of the value of Nearpod and Flocabulary

  • Translate Nearpod’s and Flocabulary’s features into benefits for existing and prospective users & decision-makers

  • Collaborate with Field Marketing, Brand Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Product to ensure successful launch of new products, new features, and feature updates

  • Craft compelling product messaging across marketing channels (print, landing pages, emails, ad campaigns)

  • Develop content marketing to support products and their features (webinars, blogs, infographics)


Our Ideal Candidate:

  • You have experience with education, either in the classroom or experience marketing education products, and understand of the daily lives of both teachers and administrators (previous teaching experience a plus)

  • You’re a storyteller and strong communicator, able to take many details that may seem unrelated and turn them into a compelling narrative

  • You’re collaborative and earn the trust and confidence of others in a group setting

  • You’ve found ways to extend your work outside of your direct sphere, whether that’s impacting education outside of the walls of your classroom or collaborating cross functionally in previous roles

  • You love learning and talking about instructional tech, the science of teaching and learning, or the future of education

  • You’re mission driven, believing in the importance of the work of educators and in the potential of every student


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with education, either within the K-12 school system or in the education industry, with understanding of the daily lives of both teachers and administrators; previous teaching experience a plus

  • A strong understanding of the EdTech landscape, or previous experience marketing educational products

  • Proven experience collaborating with others

  • Excellent time management and project prioritization skills

  • Thrives in a start-up environment, including the ability to quickly adapt and make informed decisions to keep the moving at a face pace

  • Ability to manage and get buy-in from cross-company key stakeholders

  • May require up to 20% travel once schools and professional conferences return to physical classrooms and events
