Role:
ITAV is seeking a dedicated Manager of Teaching, Learning & Quality Practice to enhance our commitment to providing exceptional services to low-income families and delivering extraordinary education from birth through adulthood. This position is integral to the success of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, ensuring that our workforce is supported, well-trained, and aligned with best practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and manage ECE Coordinators, ensuring effective coaching and support of ECE teachers using the CONSTRUCT coaching tool. Oversee classroom environments, assessments, and continued education efforts for ECE staff.

  • Program Implementation: Manage and execute CLASS observations, monitor Coaching to Fidelity, and ensure compliance with 45-day requirements and other program benchmarks.

  • Curriculum & Training Development: Collaborate with the Department Director to develop training materials, PowerPoints, and other resources. Facilitate the CDA Credential program and PEL test prep course.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Education Coordinators, Site Directors, and funders. Engage in regular site visits and community events to ensure program alignment with educational objectives and funder expectations.

  • Data & Compliance: Track and analyze educational outcomes, maintain accurate documentation and ensure all educational programs comply with regulations and policies.

  • Professional Development: Stay updated on trends and best practices in ECE, engage in ongoing professional development, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Type: Full-Time

Qualifications

Required Education & Training 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Level 5 Infant/Toddler credential and Level 1 Directors Credential required.

  • Previous experience as an Education Coordinator required 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational leadership role,

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated passion for developing early childhood educators.

  • Knowledge of ECE high education pathways, Illinois Gateways to Opportunities credentialing, Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum, DFSS, and Head Start benchmarks.

  • Ability to travel within the community and meet the physical demands of the role.

  • You excel in communication and can effectively convey complex educational concepts to a wide range of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and community members.

  • You are highly organized and proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring that educational programs are delivered with excellence and fidelity.

  • You are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and you integrate culturally responsive practices into your teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of all children.
