Job Summary: The Director, Talent Development is responsible for building and delivering a best in class learning portfolio that is aligned to the company’s business priorities ensuring that all aspects of development and delivery are high-impact and meet the needs of a diverse range of users.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies, frameworks, and programs to drive organizational performance and achieve business goals
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and senior business leaders to identify organizational needs, challenges, and opportunities, and develop solutions to address them effectively
- Design and implement highly effective and results driven talent management and development strategies and programs, including performance management, goal setting, DE&I, career paths, succession planning, and leadership development
- Conduct organizational assessments, including employee surveys and feedback mechanisms, to gather insights and data on organizational effectiveness and employee experience. Lead the results communication efforts and action planning process
- Analyze data and metrics related to organizational effectiveness and develop action plans and recommendations based on findings
- Partner with HR and other relevant departments to align organization effectiveness initiatives with overall talent management, learning and development, and employee engagement strategies
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging research in organization effectiveness and talent management, and apply relevant insights to drive continuous improvement
- Evolve and scale learning framework and develop skills and capabilities to address gaps and align with business growth strategy including management and leadership development for multiple employee audiences
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all training programs and implement changes as necessary to elevate the level and success of all training initiatives
- Drive learning culture through innovative solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years’ of learning and development experience required, Insurance industry experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications and use of Internet required
