Merchandise Coordinator

Job Summary


Square Enix is looking for a hands-on coordinator to handle various aspects of its Square Enix Merchandise Department. This person will handle business communications and coordinate with merchandise distributors, retailers, and the Merchandise Department at Square Enix’s Tokyo Office.



  • Create and update ecommerce webpages for all products.
  • Help create various sales and promotions and follow up with data analysis on the success of each sale.
  • Update various social media outlets of new products and sales.
  • Work with the manager to communicate with distributors regarding new product offers and order collections.
  • Work with the manager to relay information to necessary parties to produce and deliver products in a timely manner.
  • Participation in business and consumer events such as E3, San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic-con, New York Toy Fair, and other events to showcase Square Enix merchandise.
  • Event related travel required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Four-year degree in business, marketing or communications from an accredited university is preferred, but not required.
  • Two years of sales experience as coordinator or similar role.
  • Domestic and International shipping and freight knowledge.
  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator skills are plus.
  • Knowledge and high interest(s) in toys and figures, gaming, comic, and hobby genres area.

Competencies, Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Japanese language skills a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 15lbs. is required. Ability to lift 25lbs. or more is a plus.
