Description

Make a real impact with Avivo’s Mental Health Clinic—where innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care come together. We’re looking for a Licensed Psychologist to provide psychological assessments, therapy, and crisis support for individuals facing complex mental health and addiction challenges.

 

This flexible role (employee or contractor) requires just 2–8 hours per month, with hybrid and remote options available.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention
  • Use harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Psychotherapy through an accredited program.
  • License: Licensed psychologist by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.
  • Current qualifications under MN Statutes 245.462 Subd. 18. (Mental Health Professional)
  • Psychotherapy methods sufficient to provide effective treatment plan delivery
  • Individual and group therapy methods sufficient to meet the needs of student clients
  • Crisis intervention principles sufficient to be able to respond to clients and train others in crisis intervention
  • Work experience: A minimum of 1-2 years in the provision of direct services to individuals in a behavioral health setting/role.
  • Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience managing compliance with licensing and certification requirements pertaining to the delivery of government contracted fee for service and behavioral health professionals.

PREFERRED 

  • 1 year of professional experience in a community mental health setting preferred.
  • Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses who have a history of long-term homelessness.
  • Experience with operations management in a behavioral health setting.
