CORE COMPETENCIES

Board certified adult psychiatrist with a valid State of Connecticut medical license and controlled substance license.

Must have a strong background in addiction with the ability to prescribe and medically monitor substance use and mental health medications.

Minimum of two years of experience working with substance abuse, mental health, co-occurring disorders, and HIV/AIDS populations.

Prior experience in a leadership role within a similar organization required.

Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships and project a professional image.

Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills required.

Expertise in behavioral health, substance use and medication assistance treatment.

Understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulations and funding requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
