Position: RARE Success Coordinator
Reports To: Associate Vice-President of Academic Affairs
Classification: Full-Time – Non-Exempt
Job Summary
The RARE (Respectful, Accountable, Responsibly, Exceptional) Success Coordinator will help to improve first- and second-year student success and career outcomes by ensuring that day-to-day implementation of programming, initiatives, strategies, assessment, and related administrative duties have been completed. The RARE Success Coordinator will work in tandem with Lane Institute and Career Pathways Services to ensure successful delivery and completion of programmatic goals including but not limited to the development and implementation of a guided pathway for each student who enters Lane Institute. This pathway will successfully guide each student through their academic coursework and related/necessary co-curricular activities into their desired major degree program, through graduation, and aims to successfully transition each student into their post-Lane goals of graduate school/professional school or for direct entry into the desired career.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The coordinator will assist in developing individual success plans and guided pathways for all first-year and transfer students who enter Lane Institute.
- The coordinator will liaise between Lane Institute and Career Pathways Services to ensure that the successful implementation of programmatic goals occurs.
- The coordinator will schedule, develop materials, and promote programming related to career opportunities, co-curricular activities, and other RARE-supporting opportunities.
- The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining students’ co-curricular transcripts.
- The coordinator will be trained and available to teach CPI 101-Introduction to Career Pathways and LCC 210-Sophomore Seminar as needed.
- The coordinator will serve as an integral part of the 0–60-hour student advisement team and will meet regularly as well as provide training to faculty advisors to ensure successful guidance of Lane Institute students along their pathways.
- The coordinator will furnish a semesterly report on student uptake and engagement pertaining to Lane RARE, Guided Pathways, and Career Pathways.
- The coordinator will advise and inform planning initiatives to improve student success, co-curricular engagement, and career outcomes.
- The Director will maintain appropriate records and data to document the impact of programs and services.
- The coordinator reports to work as stated in the contract.
