JOB SUMMARY:  This position will be responsible for preparing, processing and booking loan documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in preparing all loan documentation for consumer, commercial, real estate, and assure compliance regulations, internal loan policies and procedures are met and documents are properly executed.
  • Prepare transaction entries necessary to balance loans.
  • Prepare loan related correspondence i.e., letters, affidavits, mortgage extensions, etc.
  • Book loan data to the computer system AS400.
  • Prepare documentation for filing and recording UCC’s, LEF’s, EFS’s, mortgages and other perfection documents with proper authorities to secure bank’s collateral position.
  • Execute bill paying associated with loan fees i.e., mortgage fee filing, appraisal fees, title fees, title fees, etc.
  • Assist entire Loan Administration Department with duties, including processing payment books, processing paid-out loan files, processing incoming mail, research, and any other departmental tasks.
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisor’s, co-workers and customers
  • Follow directions from supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • High School Education and 1 year banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous banking experience in areas of lending or equivalent of education and knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows applications and other MS Office applications, 10 key, typing, AS400 and Laser Pro.
  • Clerical, administrative and customers service skills required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.
