Description
The Director of Institutional Research will provide management and support of the institution’s accountability and continuous improvement process. The Director works with designated others in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to maintain a compliance calendar and ensures that the College remains in compliance with any local, state, and federal regulatory requirements as well as regional, state, and professional accreditation agencies.
The Director provides critical and trusted decision support to a broad range of administrative planning and decision-making efforts. The Director will support the development of metrics for the institution's strategic planning; plan, design, and conduct and/or oversee research to meet compliance with state, federal, and college requirements and accreditation standards; and ensure accuracy of state, federal and College reports on student outcomes.
The Director coordinates both internal and external data and analytics requests, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Working collaboratively across the institution, the Director will assist in survey design and deployment, institutional data collection and analysis, and student outcomes including student retention, graduation, and alumni progression.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with designated others in the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to maintain a compliance calendar.
- Contributes IR data to compliance reporting related to federal, state, institutional and program accreditation, to include but not limited to Integrated Post-Secondary Data System (IPEDS), Title III, National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and United States Department of Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA).
- Serve as the institutions IPEDS keyholder.
- Timely submitting information required for NC-SARA participation.
