Role Summary:

The Rewards and Relations Partner II plays a key role in the credit union by providing high quality and professional service to all team members in maintaining, administering, and leading functions in the areas of compensation and benefits (rewards) and performance and engagement (relations). The R&R Partner II will be responsible for administering the credit union’s benefits and compensation programs, including retirement plans and health/life insurance plans. The team member will assist with conflict resolution, implementing team member policies, promoting communication between management and the workforce, conducting investigations into workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager/Team Leader and partner with other members of the Human Resources team to accomplish goals and proudly serve our team members.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Utilize HRIS to assist in entering employment actions and related data, to include but not limited to new hires, promotions, internal transfers, salary adjustments, and status changes.
  2. In partnership with management, lead the benefit enrollment process including new hires, qualifying events, and annual open enrollment process, ensuring the accuracy of all benefits enrollments.
  3. Organize and prepare for new team member bi-weekly orientation relating to benefits and HRIS usage.
  4. Manage, track, and prepare employer responses for Unemployment Claims.
  5. Assist the Human Resources Manager/Team Leader in conducting trainings, coaching team leaders and updating new salary data into HRIS as part of the annual performance review process.
  6. Advise team members, answer questions, and partner with the Human Resources team to implement process enhancements.
  7. In partnership with the Human Resources Manager, advise team leaders and team members on sensitive employee relations matters, including performance issues and disciplinary actions; advise and assist team leaders in identifying employee relations issues and determining appropriate course of action.
  8. Assist with internal investigations; provide clear and concise documentation and consistent recommendations to leadership regarding resolution.
  9. Demonstrates knowledge and fluency in labor laws and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.
  10. Maintains and updates compensation system with salary grades and positions. Assists with grading of credit union positions.
  11. Provides compensation support including salary planning, review of salary actions, and promotions.
  12. Develops strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  13. Collaborates with the Human Resources team on development, implementation and communication of existing and new HR procedures and policies.
  14. Understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  15. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
  16. Display leadership values such as mutual respect, trust and dignity, and act in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.
  17. Control risk and operate in a safe and sound manner.
  18. Maintain and protect sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
  19. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

About You:

  1. Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills, including a positive attitude, to deal tactfully, effectively and confidentially with individuals in all types of situations and across all levels of the Credit Union.
  2. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  3. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  4. Proven ability to objectively coach team members through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  5. Ability to work with great accuracy and be detail oriented.
  6. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or Sociology preferred.
  3. Three to five years of relevant Human Resources work experience.
  4. Strong knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations.
  5. MS Office 2013 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) at the intermediate skill level.
  6. Experience with HRIS and performance management software.
  7. Proficient in computer applications, reporting, and file/data systems.

Salary Range:

$ 28.16 - $ 42.24
