The Electrical Hardware Engineer designs and develops sophisticated control systems for high-speed restaurant equipment.

 

 

 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for applying engineering principles to the development of hardware schematics for new embedded controller programs, writing of specifications, and documentation needed to manufacture products.  
  • Designs analog, digital, and microprocessor based circuit boards with Altium Designer
  • Architecture design block diagrams to define the system architecture
  • Directly responsible for investigating and determining resolution for manufacturing product assembly and/or test procedures.
  • Collaboratively works with electrical team to design hardware to requirements and utilizes change management and design reviews to ensure the product is robust.
  • Creates test plans to thoroughly test the hardware for verification and validation activities.
  • Partners with and supports engineering teams to resolve manufacturing related product issues and procedures used to develop new products.  
  • Partners with other engineering teams to create test instructions, orchestrate new product development activities, coordination of agency compliance and production release.
  • Ensures effective communication is maintained with all Team Leaders/Members, and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains clean and functional work-stations as well as common areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s).

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Analog, digital, and microprocessor based design experience.
  • Strong level of understanding and application for tools like oscilloscopes, multi-meters and bus communication analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills, leadership, planning and technical/problem solving ability.
  • Action and detail oriented, and strong customer service skills drive for results, and make decisions.
  • Ability to differentiate colors, read blueprints/schematics, and possess basic electromechanical abilities.
  • Must work well independently and in a team, be self-motivated, and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment .
  • Computer Literate: MS Office, MRP, QAD

 

 

Considerations: 

  • Minimum BSEE engineering degree (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in Altium Designer
  • Minimum 1 year in architecture design, design reviews and a structured process for development
  • MSEE a plus
  • Change Management and requirements management experience is a plus
  • Board Layout using Altium is a plus
