Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Physical Plant and Supervisor of Maintenance, perform Journeyman level plumbing work and maintenance to customers in both a commercial and residential environment.  Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste disposal.  Serve in “on call” capacity during assigned weekdays to respond to emergency maintenance calls.  Each call must be answered, repairs made as necessary, or call for additional personnel as required. 

Requirements:  High School Diploma or GED; valid VA driver’s license, 5 – 8 year’s previous work experience in multiple fields to include electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.  Master Plumbers license preferred, Journeyman Electrical license preferred, LP Gas experience a plus, commercial sewer and drain experience and Backflow license preferred.  Possess strong analytical skills in determining appropriate repair method. Must be self-motivated, self-supervising individual with excellent customer service and communication skills. 

Must have ability to climb and maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch in confined and dimly lit spaces, lift up to 100 lbs.; perform job duties in inclement weather and other adverse conditions.
