Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will be responsible for performing the assembly of electro-mechanical subcomponents for highly technical products, in accordance with approved work instructions and processes.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical assembly using basic hand tools and power tools Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners using hand, air, and power tools.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts list.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Positioning parts according to blue prints.
  • Performs basic quality form/fit inspections of incoming materials as needed.
  • Conducts rework of failed components as directed by production supervision.
  • Documents work progress as directed by production supervision.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, shop rules, and regulations.
  • Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and material for job and assembles components according to drawings and work instructions.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Electro-mechanical assembly skills
  • Must have basic computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite recommended
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required to support shop, engineering, and integration teams

 

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience with manufacturing electrical, mechatronics, and/or electronic products

 

 

Preferred Experience Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience with manufacturing electrical, mechatronics, and/or electronic products
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

 

 

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in STEM related discipline or trade school certification

 

 

Preferred Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM related discipline or trade school certification
