JOB TITLE: Manager of Learning and Development

LOCATION: Cincinnati, Ohio - Hybrid

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Talent Management

DIRECT REPORTS: None

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Learning and Development to lead our organization's efforts in fostering professional growth and leadership development. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that cater to various levels of leadership, ensuring continuous improvement and talent development across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • LEARNING STRATEGY AND EXECUTION:
    • Design and deliver leadership development programs for various levels of leadership, from entry-level to executive leadership.
    • Facilitate the execution of learning initiatives, coordinating logistics, scheduling, and resources to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
    • Conduct appropriate and comprehensive intake with key business stakeholders to understand and evaluate learning needs.
    • Create and deliver programs with cross functional teams that address organizational learning needs and achieve established business goals.
    • Create multi-modal delivery programs, both in person, virtual and asynchronous programs to provide flexible learning experiences for Brightview’s teams.
  • CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Build, maintain, organize and update BrightView’s catalog of learning tools and resources.
    • Conduct a wide range of curriculum-based learning programs, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, workshops, and other learning resources.
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of learning programs, collecting feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate and validate curricula with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy, relevancy, and effectiveness of learning materials.
  • TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION:
    • Own the content deployment of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other identified technology tools.
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in learning technologies and platforms, and recommend their integration to enhance learning experiences.
    • Leverage e-learning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital resources to create a blended learning approach.
  • STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION:
    • Collaborate with department heads, managers, and executives to understand their teams' learning needs and develop customized training solutions.
    • Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to bring cutting-edge insights and resources to the organization.
  • PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs on employee performance, engagement, and organizational goals.
    • Provide regular reports and data-driven insights to leadership regarding the success of learning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum of five years in learning and development, with a focus on leadership development and talent management.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
