Camp Vertical exists to be a space where kids experience the ministry of Jesus Christ and are able to learn more about God through relationships with staff members, engaging worship, and biblical teaching, while also being able to participate in high-energy, fun summer activities where kids are able to be kids.

Job Summary

The Camp Medic is responsible for responding to any medical needs that arise from campers, volunteers or staff members. This position also serves as office support when there are no medical situations, including administrative tasks.

General Responsibilities

  • Respond to any emergency or non-emergency medical situations with anyone attending or working for Camp Vertical.
  • Organize, collect and distribute medication to campers who may need it mid-day.
  • Organize and collect emergency medication from Key Leaders at the end of each day. Return all medication to families during checkout.
  • Responsible for thorough documentation and follow-up regarding all medical care.
  • Assists the Director and Office Coordinator with behind-the-scenes administration and communication.
  • Complete office tasks such as managing attendance, early pick-ups, registration needs, responding to phone calls and emails.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in nursing or medicine in a church, camp, pediatric, or school setting preferred.
  • Degree and Certification preferred.

Employment Information

This position is temporary, hourly and non-exempt

40 Hours per week, June 1, 2024 to August 10, 2024
